Daniel McDonnell turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than two walks surrendered on Friday. He struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Considering he played a big game the last time he faced off against Babylon back in April of 2024, the result shouldn't come as too huge a shock. McDonnell also tossed no walks, which is notable because Southampton is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 0-3 otherwise.

Looking ahead, McDonnell and Southampton will venture away from home to challenge Pierson at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Whalers are limping into the matchup having lost three straight at home.
