After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lincoln, The St. Augustine Saints were happy to have found some success on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 34-14 margin over Madison. The result was nothing new for St. Augustine, who have now won four contests by 20 points or more so far this season.
St. Augustine's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brady Palmer, who threw for 224 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Hasten, who picked up 149 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
St. Augustine's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 5-4. Admittedly, the team didn't face the toughest opposition across those games, namely Madison, University City, and Newport Harbor. As for Madison, they have fallen quite a ways from their 9-2 record last season and are now at 3-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Augustine will face off against Cathedral Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Cathedral Catholic is ranked 67th, while St. Augustine is ranked 89th). As for Madison, they will head out on the road to face off against University City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
