The Elmore County Panthers lost against the Chilton County Tigers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Elmore County took a 49-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chilton County. Elmore County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chilton County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Iasia Anderson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 steals. Anderson is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Tyeshia Williams, who scored 9 points along with 17 rebounds and 5 assists.
Elmore County's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Chilton County, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-4.
Elmore County will be playing in front of their home fans against Thorsby at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Thorsby will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 325th, while Elmore County is ranked 145th). Chilton County will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Wetumpka at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th.
