The Westover Patriots lost to the Pelham Hornets  back in November of 2015, but the Westover Patriots didn't allow the Pelham Hornets the same satisfaction on Thursday. Westover managed a  46-42 win over Pelham. The  win was all the more spectacular given Westover's disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings  (they are ranked 237th, while Pelham is ranked 109th).
 Westover got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Jada Landers out in front who  dropped  a double-double on 12 points and 11  rebounds. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which  Landers has scored at least 25% of Westover's points. Another player making a difference was  Kaiya Conway, who  scored 13 points along with eight  rebounds.
 Westover's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Pelham, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
 Westover won't have much time to rest: their next  contest is against Central Fellowship Christian Academy at 3:45  p.m.  on December 29th. Pelham and Calhoun County will face off  at 5:30  p.m.  on December 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Calhoun County is coming into the  match on a four-game losing streak.
