Duchesne has gone a perfect 10-0 against North Summit recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Braves at 3:30 p.m. Duchesne will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Duchesne had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Grand County on Monday. The Eagles blew past the Red Devils 14-8. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 18 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Prezley Farnsworth was a standout: she got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Madi Larsen also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
Duchesne was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. They are a perfect 18-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, North Summit hadn't done well against Judge Memorial Catholic recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Braves walked away with a 12-9 victory over the Bulldogs.
North Summit got a big performance out of KINZEE DISTON, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was ASHLYN LEFLER, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
Duchesne's record now sits at 21-5. As for North Summit, their record is now 4-23.
North Summit's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Duchesne has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.8 hits per game. It's a different story for North Summit, though, as they've been averaging 13.1 hits. Given Duchesne's sizable advantage in that area, the Braves will need to find a way to close that gap.
Duchesne got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against North Summit by a conclusive 18-0 score. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Braves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
