West Perry had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They claimed a resounding 49-21 victory over the Susquenita Blackhawks. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Blackhawks: they've now won four in a row.

Several Blackhawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jacob Brown, who rushed for 126 yards and one score on only 14 carries.
