Brandon Figueroa Delivers Best Effort of Season
Brandon Figueroa produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Irvine to the win on Thursday. Figueroa rushed for 335 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 18.6 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an incredible 94 yards.
Unfortunately for Canyon, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Figueroa. Figueroa rushed for 76 yards and two touchdowns the last time he and the Comanches duked it out back in August of 2023.

Sonora came up short on Friday despite Olin Morales Hyder delivering his best game to date. His longest rush was for an incredible 71 yards.

Jack Mckelvy Goes Supernova in El Toro Win
Jack Mckelvy posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 82 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 193 yards and two touchdowns.
This year, Mckelvy has thrown 17 touchdowns while averaging 193.7 passing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 58.71 passing yards per game.
