The Hill County Wolves came up short against Jubilee Lake View University Prep on Saturday, falling 53-31.
Hill County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tristan Knight, who rushed for 156 yards on only 14 carries, and also picked up 42 receiving yards and a touchdown. That's the most total yards Knight has posted since back in October of 2023. Another back making a difference was Evan Knight, who rushed for 104 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.
Hill County wouldn't let Jubilee Lake View University Prep keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Jonathan Fisk, Christian Sutton, and Shawn Dutcher picked up one apiece. Fisk also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing a fumble, making five total tackles, and defending a pass.
Hill County's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Jubilee Lake View University Prep, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hill County will play host again on Thursday to welcome Morgan, where kickoff is scheduled at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Hill County focused on turnovers this week as team gave up five on Saturday.
