The Silver Lake Mustangs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They really took it to Gibbon for the full four quarters, racking up a 64-37 win on the road. With that victory, Silver Lake brought their scoring average up to 52 points per game.
Leading Silver Lake to victory were Tayten Menke and Jordan Faimon. Menke scored 14 points along with six steals, while Faimon scored 19 points along with five rebounds and three blocks. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for him. Landon Duester was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Silver Lake's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Gibbon, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Silver Lake will head out on the road to face off against Kenesaw at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Kenesaw focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Tuesday. Gibbon will be home for the holidays to greet Wood River at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
