The Heritage Christian Patriots's four-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Tuesday. They managed a 70-66 win over Lawrence Upper. Heritage Christian's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dominic Bell, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Jackson, who scored 18 points.
Heritage Christian's victory bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Lawrence Upper, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heritage Christian will challenge Westside Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Westside Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Monday. Lawrence Upper won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Lake Ridge Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 10th. Lake Ridge Academy is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
