Basketball Recap: Pecatonica Wins Going Away Against Warren

Pecatonica had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the Warren Warriors with a sharp 72-51 victory on Wednesday. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 18 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Warren still got an impressive performance from Treyton Pafford, who posted 26 points along with seven boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Beau Podnar, who put up nine points and seven rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for Pecatonica and bumps their season record up to 31-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.5 points over those games. As for Warren, their defeat dropped their record down to 24-9.

Coming up, Pecatonica will be playing at home against East Dubuque at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East Dubuque knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Pecatonica likes a good challenge. Warren does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
