South Hagerstown was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating Governor Thomas Johnson 21-14. The Rebels came in at 25 in the state poll after placing at number 93 last week.
South Hagerstown extended the longest winning streak in Monocacy Valley - Antietam this week by beating the Patriots, 21-14. The victory was the fourth in a row for Toby Peer's team.
North Hagerstown's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Nick Karlen threw for 82 and one touchdown and Reggie Moody had 41 yards receiving. On the ground Isaiah Keyes chipped in 138 yards. Tre Anderson helped North Hagerstown's passing attack out by catching three balls for 41 yards.
North Hagerstown's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Hubs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Karlen has thrown for 392 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Anderson has seven catches for 144 yards. Keyes leads the league in rushing with 368 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Hubs take on Brunswick. North Hagerstown is in second place, while the Railroaders are in sixth place.
