Centralia had lost four straight at home, but  on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 6-10-2 to make it five. They lost  17-2 to the Tumwater Thunderbirds. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Thunderbirds this season,  with their most recent  defeat being a  19-3  loss  last Monday.
As for Tumwater, the  win was  the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2. The result was nothing new for the Thunderbirds, who have now won nine games by six  runs or more  so far this season.
For Tumwater's part,  Sarah Stevens was a  major factor no matter where she played. She  pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off   five  hits. Stevens has been consistent: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate,  firing off two  home runs, three  runs,  and four  RBI while going 3-for-3. Those  home runs marked the first that  she has  launched this season.
 In other batting news,  Megan Barrett was  incredible,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and two  RBI. Those  two  stolen bases gave  her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Zoe Fields, who  went 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases and three  runs.

Meanwhile, Tumwater will  challenge  rival Aberdeen  at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Thunderbirds 3.1, the Bobcats 0.9) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
