The Parma Panthers are taking a road trip to square off against the Weiser Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Parma will be strutting in after a victory while Weiser will be coming in after a defeat.
While Parma's win against Marsing wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Huskies 3-2. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Kaden Cole spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on one hit and racked up seven Ks. He has become a key player for Parma: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 4-9 otherwise.
At the plate, Rommie Lewis III was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. Matthew Van Tuyl also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Meanwhile, Weiser fell victim to Fruitland and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grizzlies. The loss continues a trend for the Wolverines in their meetings with the Grizzlies: they've now lost nine in a row.
Weiser also got a good showing from Brody Bittick, who pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Bittick has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Weiser saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaden ?KJ' LaChapelle, who went 2-for-3 with one double.
Parma's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Weiser, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.
Parma's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's game. The Panthers have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Weiser, though, as they've been averaging only 1.4 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Parma continue to outrun the ball?
Parma couldn't quite finish off Weiser when the teams last played back in March and fell 4-2. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
