2A District 6 recap October 1, 2013
Holy Cross took down Bishop Brossart 51-12 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jalen Beal ran for 215 yards in the win.
The Indians made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,494 from 10,243. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 51-12 victory over the Mustangs last week.
Holy Cross' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Indians feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Hamilton Scott has thrown for 183 yards this season, while Beal has 8 catches for 63 yards.
Two of the top teams in 2A District 6 will go toe-to-toe this week when Holy Cross takes on Lloyd Memorial. Bruce Kozerski's team's offense has scored 85 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Juggernauts have allowed only 101 on the year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Newport takes on Bishop Brossart. The Wildcats are in fourth place, while Lee Teegarden's team is in second place.
