Wilson is a perfect 10-0 against Sunset since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Wilson Wildcats will square off against the Sunset Bison at 10:00 a.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Things were looking good for Wilson after they put the first points on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell 6-3 to Ennis.

Wilson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kennedy Shoulders, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI. David Rosas also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Sunset was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Ennis. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Bison have suffered since March 27, 2024.

Wilson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5-1. As for Sunset, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.

Friday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Wilson hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .327. However, it's not like Sunset struggles in that department as they've averaged .347. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Everything went Wilson's way against Sunset in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Wilson made off with a 14-4 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wilson since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
