Ash Fork/Seligman has won five straight games at home, while Mogollon has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Spartans will host the Mustangs at 3:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Having struggled with five losses in a row, Ash Fork/Seligman turned things around against Joseph City on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 16-5 margin over the Wildcats. Considering the Spartans have won seven contests by more than nine runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Jesus Ayala and Jhovanny Vazquez made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Ayala pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Vazquez pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Ayala also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Ash Fork/Seligman is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-9 otherwise. At the plate, Ayala got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI, while Vazquez got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Ash Fork/Seligman got a massive performance out of Josue Tellez, who went 4-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs Tellez has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Miclo Ayala, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Ash Fork/Seligman was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. They are 6-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Mogollon beat Superior 10-5 on Friday. The Mustangs have beaten the Panthers the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Panthers has come to flipping the script.
Like Ash Fork/Seligman, Mogollon also got a great game from a two-way player: Rocky Porter. He tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Porter has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Porter wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Chancy Worsley, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.
Ash Fork/Seligman's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Mogollon, their win bumped their record up to 18-5.
Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Ash Fork/Seligman hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .384. However, it's not like Mogollon struggles in that department as they've averaged .355. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
