Santiago Moreno put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in March on Wednesday. He struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

Moreno's strong effort led Edison over Chavez and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
