The River Ridge Royal Knights will be playing at home against the Cypress Creek Coyotes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Friday, River Ridge came up short against Fivay and fell 27-15.
Meanwhile, after a string of eight wins, Cypress Creek's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were dealt a 63-35 defeat at the hands of Zephyrhills. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
The losing side was boosted by Jack Niemann, who rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and also threw for 153 yards and a touchdown. Malachi Askin was another key contributor, rushing for 139 yards and a touchdown.
River Ridge now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Cypress Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 8-1.
River Ridge was able to grind out a solid victory over Cypress Creek in their previous meeting back in November of 2022, winning 35-25. Will River Ridge repeat their success, or does Cypress Creek have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
