Milford stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. Everything went their way against Anderson as Milford made off with a 47-26 win. Given Milford's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Raptors are ranked 504th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Violet Shuluga, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Kelsey McKenney, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Fairfield's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight defeat. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 56-32 walloping at the hands of Princeton. Fairfield has struggled against the Vikings recently, as their matchup on Wednesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Fairfield had strong showings from Myka Richardson, who scored ten points along with three steals, and Kayla McCoy, who scored eight points along with five steals.
Milford's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Fairfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.
Milford barely slipped by the Indians in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, winning 52-51. Will Milford repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
