We've got a battle between Panthers coming up. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Pell City had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Lincoln on Tuesday. Pell City blew past Lincoln 11-4. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Golden Bears recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Addy Simmons made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February.

In other pitching news, Ally Mosley looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, she posted two strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Aubrey Tucker, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Reese Tarver, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
Pell City hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lincoln struck out seven times.
Meanwhile, Hackleburg came tearing into Tuesday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Lions as they made off with a 12-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won eight matches by seven runs or more so far this season.
Braylynn Pope and Bryleigh Butler were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing, Pope struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Butler tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, Pope gave up only zero walks, the fewest she's had since back in May of 2024. At bat, Pope scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Butler went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Butler also snagged a stolen base, marking her first of the season.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Carson Browning, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Hackleburg pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Pell City, their record is now 14-7.
