The Matanzas Pirates can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They managed a 64-60 victory over St. Augustine. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for Henry Robinson Jr. , who scored 30 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. The contest was his ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tariq Shakir, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten assists.
Matanzas' victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-7. As for St. Augustine, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Matanzas will take on Atlantic in a holiday battle at 4:30 p.m. on Friday at. As for St. Augustine, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Beachside at 3:30 p.m. on December 16th.
