French Camp Academy extended the longest winning streak in 1A Region 2 this week by beating Durant, 42-8. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
Shaw took down Brooks 51-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Andre Pruitt threw for 25 yards and one touchdown in the win.
French Camp Academy's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jesse Hosket threw for 64 and one touchdown and Hagan Box had 41 yards receiving. On the ground Jaylon Clemons chipped in 96 yards. Lovondra Carter helped French Camp Academy's passing attack out by catching two balls for 23 yards.
The Hawks' Pruitt and Octavius Stimmage have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Pruitt has thrown for 779 yards this season, while Stimmage, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 10 catches for 323 yards. Clemons from Nathan Wright's team leads the league in rushing with 1075 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Shaw takes on Coffeeville. As it stands, Kendrick Smith's team is in second, while the Pirates are in fourth.
The Hawks led 1A Region 2 in scoring this week after putting up 51 points on the Tigers. Pruitt in the win.
