Central's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Everything went their way against the Mt. Pleasant Kilties as they made off with a 16-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won eight contests by ten runs or more so far this season.
Central's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Yazlenne Corona, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI Corona has posted since back in April.
Central pushed their record up to 9-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.6 runs over those games. As for Mt. Pleasant, they are on a 23-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.
