Fox Lane played a tough  game  on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost  27-7 to the Lakeland Hornets. The Foxes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in October of 2024.
 Justin Sarote threw for 113 yards and one  TD.   Will Broghammer was his top target, picking up 53 receiving yards.  On the ground,  Evan Stackle rushed for 66 yards.
Fox Lane's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Lakeland, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
 Fox Lane and Lakeland will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Foxes will  face off against  rival Rye  at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Lakeland is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Carmel  at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
