They breezed by Forest Lake Christian at home to the tune of 79-40. Trinity Christian's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Trinity Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Johnny Walton, who shot 4-for-5 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten assists. Another player making a difference was Chris Thomas, who scored 20 points along with three blocks.
Forest Lake Christian's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Caleb Fenton, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks, and Brendan Hooper who scored 12 points along with five assists. Fenton hasn't dropped below two blocks for three straight games.
Trinity Christian pushed their record up to 6-1 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points per game. As for Forest Lake Christian, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.
Trinity Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on El Camino at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. As for Forest Lake Christian, they will be playing at home against Victory Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
