Holy Name is 8-2 against Valley Forge since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Holy Name Green Wave will head out on the road to challenge the Valley Forge Patriots at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Holy Name is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Valley Forge in Ohio (Holy Name is ranked 235th, while Valley Forge is ranked 705th).
Even though Westlake scored an imposing 67 points on Tuesday, Holy Name still came out on top. Holy Name walked away with an 80-67 win over Westlake. The win was just what Holy Name needed coming off of a 81-52 loss in their prior match.
Meanwhile, Valley Forge's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their 12th straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 62-41 loss at the hands of Rocky River. Valley Forge has not had much luck with Rocky River recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Holy Name has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Valley Forge, they dropped their record down to 2-15 with that defeat, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
Everything came up roses for Holy Name against Valley Forge in their previous matchup back in January as the team secured a 71-40 victory. With Holy Name ahead 46-15 at the half, the game was all but over already.
