Tate is on a 13-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Milton is on a seven-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Tate Aggies will take on the Milton Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tate has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 331 points over their last five matches.
Even though Navarre scored an imposing 64 points on Friday, Tate still came out on top. Tate walked away with a 75-64 victory over Navarre. Winning is a bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 26 to 11 on the offensive boards, as Tate did.
The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Lucas Williams and Darius Cunningham. Williams had a great game and scored 24 points along with eight steals and five assists. Meanwhile, Cunningham was balling out in the loss, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Milton earned a 55-48 victory over Crestview on Tuesday. Given Milton's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 117th, while Crestview is ranked 249th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Tate is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Milton, their win bumped their record up to 15-2.
Tate beat Milton 67-55 when the teams last played back in January of 2023. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Milton's Keith Gardner, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
