Catoctin extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Brooke Williams. The Catoctin Cougars walked away with a 45-38 victory over the Middletown Knights on Friday thanks in part to Williams, who posted 18 points in addition to five boards and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games she's played.
The team also got some help courtesy of Kelsey Troxell, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 12 rebounds. What's more, she also racked up six steals, the most she's had since back in December of 2024.
Catoctin pushed their record up to 14-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.3 points over those games. As for Middletown, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.
Coming up, Catoctin will be playing in front of their home fans against Mountain Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Middletown, they will head out on the road to square off against Clear Spring at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
