Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Perspectives Leadership/Technology Warriors walked away with it. They really took it to the Vikings for the full four quarters, racking up a 67-39 win at home. Perspectives Leadership/Technology's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Perspectives Leadership/Technology's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Karla Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. Thomas also grabbed two+ steals for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Catrina Sanders, who scored 13 points along with six assists and five steals.
Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alyssa Valdez, who scored seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Barnes, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Perspectives Leadership/Technology's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Amundsen, their loss dropped their record down to 12-16.
Perspectives Leadership/Technology will head out on the road to take on the Wolves at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. Amundsen does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
