Jonesboro was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Northside on Tuesday. The Jonesboro Cardinals claimed a resounding 73-40 win over the Northside Patriots. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 26 points or more this season.

Jonesboro got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Frank Jackson out in front who went 6 for 9 to rack up 14 points and six boards. Jackson is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Calvin Goss, who went 6 of 14 en route to 15 points.

Jonesboro smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 11 consecutive matchups.

Jonesboro's win bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Northside, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-17.

Coming up, Jonesboro will welcome Griffin at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. Griffin will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Jonesboro surely won't give up without a fight. Northside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
