Appleton North is 1-9 against Oshkosh North since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Tuesday. The Appleton North Lightning will head out on the road to  challenge  the Oshkosh North Spartans at 4:30  p.m.

 At the plate,  Alyssa Wald and  Payton Willenkamp stepped up to the plate in a big way.  Wald  scored two  runs while going 3-for-5, while  Willenkamp  scored a  run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Tatum Beggs, who  went 2-for-4 with two  RBI.
 Even though they lost, Appleton North  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. That's the most  hits they've managed all season.
 Meanwhile, Oshkosh North made easy work of Manitowoc Lincoln  in Saturday's  second game and carried off  a  16-1 victory. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Oshkosh North.
 Appleton North's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Oshkosh North,  the  win  got them back to even at 2-2.
 Appleton North skirted past Oshkosh North  10-8 in their previous matchup  back in May of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Appleton North since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
