Basketball Recap: Landstown Finds Playoff Glory Versus Cosby

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Landstown had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by an 81-59 margin over the Cosby Titans. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Landstown's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Damien Robinson, who to rack up 18 points in addition to five assists and four steals. Robinson's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zaevion Cleveland, who on his way to 17 points and four steals.

Robinson wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Landstown was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Landstown's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points over those games. As for Cosby, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-9.

Coming up, Landstown will challenge Glen Allen on Thursday. Glen Allen has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Cosby does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
