Lane Tech has won three straight games at home, while Chicago Hope Academy has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Champions will welcome Chicago Hope Academy at 4:30 p.m. Lane Tech is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
On Wednesday, Lane Tech made easy work of Ogden International and carried off a 13-3 victory. The win continues a trend for the Champions in their matchups with Ogden International: they've now won five in a row.
Bennett Levinson looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, after a string of nine wins, Chicago Hope Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (2-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The shutout was out of character for they seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.
Cesar Marquez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up six Ks.
On the hitting side, Chicago Hope Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Davian Villalobos, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Lane Tech has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.8 hits per game. However, it's not like Chicago Hope Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Lane Tech was able to grind out a solid win over Chicago Hope Academy in their previous meeting back in May of 2023, winning 4-1. Do the Champions have another victory up their sleeve, or will Chicago Hope Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
