Everett is 1-9 against Snohomish since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Seagulls will host the Panthers at 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday just wasn't the day for Everett's offense. They lost 10-0 to Lake Stevens on Wednesday. The game marked the first time this year in which the Seagulls were not able to get on the board.
Meanwhile, Snohomish came tearing into two weeks ago's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Grizzlies. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won four contests by nine runs or more so far this season.
Abby Edwards was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out 13 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other batting news, Snohomish let Rhys Doyle and Amelie Lopez run wild. Doyle went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double, while Lopez went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those two runs gave Doyle a new career-high. Allison Rush was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Snohomish hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Glacier Peak struck out 13 times.
Snohomish's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Everett, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
Everett might still be hurting after the 13-0 loss they got from Snohomish in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Seagulls avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
