Madelyn Hopper was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 18 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lyla Mahan, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, five runs, and five RBI. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Maggie Jacob, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
