Make it six blowout wins for the North Canyon Rattlers this season. They blew past Metro Tech 75-32 on the road. The victory was nothing new for North Canyon as they're now sitting on five straight.
Metro Tech's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Yahir Monroy, who scored nine points along with two steals. Monroy is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for four games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Ace Zambrano, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and two steals.
North Canyon is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Metro Tech, their defeat was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-20.
North Canyon won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Gila Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Gila Ridge has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 509 points over their last eight games. As for Metro Tech, they will head out on the road to take on South Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
