Football Recap: Danny Maldonado and Jimmy Remigio Lead the Defense for Century Win

Century won the last time they faced Cleveland and things went their way on Friday too. The Jaguars walked away with a 27-14 win over the Warriors. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Jaguars.

Among those leading the charge was Jermaen Smith, who rushed for 74 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries.

Century didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Danny Maldonado and Jimmy Remigio. Maldonado is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least seven every time he's taken the field this season. Seamus Holmes was another major factor on D, making ten total tackles (5.0 for loss).

Century now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Cleveland, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Century will head out to challenge Reynolds at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 926 yards in their previous games. As for Cleveland, they will welcome Southridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
