Friendship Christian and Donelson Christian Academy are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2019, but not for long. The Commanders will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Friendship Christian found their leader in freshman Ryder Wolcott, who rushed for 161 yards and three touchdowns. With that strong performance, Wolcott is now averaging an impressive 102.3 rushing yards per game.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Donelson Christian Academy). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Mount Juliet Christian Academy 56-0. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 104th, while the Saints are ranked 313th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.
The critical scores for Donelson Christian Academy came from Noah Ellis, Grant Taylor, Riley Biddle, Dominic Davis, Grayson Scragg, and Aiden Luepke.
One reason for the win was Donelson Christian Academy's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Jamil Shinska was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. Donelson Christian Academy is undefeated when Shinska posts one or more sacks, but 1-2 otherwise.
Friendship Christian's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Donelson Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
Friday's contest will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Wolcott and King Gardner. Wolcott just won't slow down this season and has run in 9 touchdowns while averaging 102.3 rushing yards per game. Gardner has been a dominant force too and has averaged 81.3 rushing yards per game.
Friendship Christian couldn't quite get it done against Donelson Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 as they fell 35-28. Can the Commanders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
