Velma Jackson had a senior duo take command as Cornell Bacon dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds and Cameron Tate scored 17 points along with four steals. That's the first time this season that Bacon scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Jamarquez Davis, who scored seven points.
Several Saints players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Drew McDonald, who scored eight points along with six steals. Justin Lindsay was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six blocks and five rebounds.
Velma Jackson is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season. As for St. Andrew's Episcopal, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
