Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Masuk Panthers, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 35-10 walloping at the hands of the Warriors on Sunday. Masuk's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Masuk still got an impressive performance from Shane Walker, who picked up 124 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Leading Wilton to victory were Charlie Calabrese and Cole Stevenson. Calabrese rushed for 54 yards and two touchdowns, while Stevenson picked up 157 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Masuk's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Wilton, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.
Masuk does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Wilton will square off against North Haven at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. North Haven is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
