Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Plum). Everything went their way against the Fox Chapel Foxes on Thursday as Plum made off with a 17-7 win. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Foxes recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Riley Stephans made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Plum got a massive performance out of Mackenzie Marotta, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.
