The Mesa Jackrabbits were the 68-58 winner over the Desert Vista Thunder when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Mesa took a 65-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Desert Vista. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Monday (60), Mesa still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Mesa still got an impressive performance from Conway Cummard, who scored 25 points along with seven assists. The game was Cummard's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Anthony Seumanu, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds.
Mesa are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-3. As for Desert Vista, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-2.
Mesa is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Dobson at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th. Dobson will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while Mesa is ranked 21st). As for Desert Vista, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Mountain View at 2:00 p.m. on December 16th.
