This season hasn't been kind to the Miami Springs Golden Hawks, who are still winless after their ninth match. The game between Miami Springs and Jackson wasn't particularly close, with Miami Springs falling 69-55. While losing is never fun, Miami Springs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 770th, while Jackson is ranked 354th).
Jackson got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jordany Fils-Aime out in front who scored 23 points. The contest was Fils-Aime's ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaedan Branton, who scored 17 points.
Miami Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Jackson, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Miami Springs will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on JC Bermudez Doral at 7:30 p.m. on January 8, 2024. One thing working in JC Bermudez Doral's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups. As for Jackson, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome TERRA Environmental at 7:00 p.m. on December 27th. TERRA Environmental knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight games -- so hopefully Jackson likes a good challenge.
