In other batting news, Nikayla Bravo-Hodges was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jayana Green, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Granger didn't have quite enough to beat Holland on Tuesday and fell 10-9.
Izzy Tavernier and Marissa Hall stepped up to the plate in a big way. Tavernier went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI, while Hall went 3-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and one double. Kayla Weaver was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
Even though they lost, Granger was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .514. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in six consecutive games.
Granger now has a losing record of 6-7-1. As for Rosebud-Lott, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.
