Baseball Recap: Canfield Extends Winning Streak to Three

While Canfield's win against Harding wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cardinals had just enough and edged out the Raiders 6-4. The victory was nothing new for the Cardinals as they're now sitting on three straight.

Canfield got a great performance from Ryan Weibling as he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk).

At the plate, Anthony Groner was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and three RBI. Dylan Mancini was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Canfield hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Harding struck out seven times.

Canfield pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Harding, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Canfield will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Raiders: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
