Pacifica extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Monrovia. They skirted past the Wildcats  9-8. Winning may never get old, but the Tritons sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Pacifica let  Jordyn Gonzalez and  Mekaeo Lualemana run wild. Gonzalez  got on base  in three of his five plate appearances with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI, while  Lualemana  went 3-for-4 with two  runs and one  double. That's the most  hits  Lualemana has posted since back in March of 2024.  Bobby Ramirez was another key player,  getting on base  in three of his six plate appearances with one  run and one  RBI.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Pacifica  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. That's the most  hits they've managed all season.
Pacifica's victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 21-9. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Monrovia, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-8.
 Coming up, Pacifica will venture away from home to  challenge South  at 3:15  p.m.  on Friday. The Spartans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6  runs per game  this season, so the Tritons' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Monrovia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
