Tate Crine spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up six Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Boulder City is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 10-11 otherwise.
At the plate, Steven Uszynski was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Colten Lewis was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Lake Mead Christian Academy never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past Laughlin 19-0. Considering the Eagles have won 14 matches by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Cameron LaPres made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, Bowe Farmer was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Danny Yeates, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Lake Mead Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .730. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Laughlin only posted an OBP of .250.
Lake Mead Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 17-1. As for Boulder City, their win bumped their record up to 16-11.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Boulder City hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .355. However, it's not like Lake Mead Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .450.
