Basketball Recap: Hagerman Skates Past Loving with Ease

Hagerman won the last time they faced Loving and things went their way on Monday too. The Hagerman Bobcats simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Loving Falcons 76-40. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Leading Hagerman to victory were Felix Chacon and Jevon Aguilar. Chacon went 10-for-18 on his way to 23 points and seven rebounds, while Aguilar dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten assists. Aguilar also grabbed six steals, which is notable because Hagerman is undefeated when he posts at least three steals, but 7-9 otherwise. Ricardo Mctague was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Hagerman smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Hagerman has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points over those games. Loving is on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-21.

Hagerman didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-47 victory against Jal on the 26th. Loving does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
