There's no place like home for the Shadow Ridge Stallions, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against Willow Canyon by a score of 41-31 on Thursday. For Shadow Ridge, this counts as revenge for the 74-37 defeat Willow Canyon walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Aalayah Ramirez continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. She hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Danica Lindemann, who scored 8 points along with 13 rebounds.
Shadow Ridge's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Willow Canyon, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shadow Ridge won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Mesa at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st. Hopefully Mesa focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Monday. As for Willow Canyon, they will head out on the road to face off against Copper Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Copper Canyon has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
